The Rukka Nivala 3.0 Gore-Tex Motorcycle Jacket in Black / Yellow is a premium men’s touring jacket developed for riders who prioritise comfort, dependable wet-weather performance and warmth on long journeys. Its flexible three-layer laminate keeps the waterproof membrane close to the outer fabric, helping the jacket resist water absorption and dry more quickly than a drop-liner garment.

This third-generation Nivala uses Gore’s newer ePE membrane with a lightweight stretch-polyamide face fabric. CORDURA® 1500D and PU Tek reinforcements protect the shoulders and elbows, while extensive Level 2 D3O® armour covers the shoulders, elbows, back and chest.

Included insulated jacket

A separate packable down jacket is supplied for cold-weather use. It has 135 g of filling made from 90% down and 10% feather and packs into its own compact storage bag. The insulated jacket can also be worn separately when you are off the motorcycle.

Size and fit

The Nivala 3.0 uses a revised panel layout, so do not assume that the same size worn in a Nivala 2.0 will be correct. The Moto Central variants use UK chest-size labels matched to Rukka’s EU sizes:

With the supplied armour and insulated layer fitted, the jacket weighs approximately 3.43 kg in Rukka EU size 50. For the best result, try the jacket with the base and mid-layers you normally ride in and check that every protector remains correctly positioned. Warranty

Rukka’s current warranty is two years from purchase. Eligible motorcycle jackets can receive an additional three years, giving a maximum of five years, when the purchase receipt is registered with the Rukka Motorsport loyalty programme. The additional cover does not apply to integrated products such as protectors.

Questions and answers

Is the Nivala 3.0 waterproof?
Yes. It uses a windproof, waterproof and breathable three-layer Gore-Tex laminate. As with any laminated motorcycle garment, periodic cleaning and care of the outer water-repellent finish helps maintain comfort in prolonged rain.

Which protectors are included?
Level 2 D3O shoulder, elbow, back and one-piece chest protection are supplied with the jacket.

Are matching trousers included?
No. Compatible Rukka trousers are sold separately and can connect to the jacket using the fitted waist zip.
