The Rukka DownRide-R Ladies Packable Down Motorcycle Mid-Layer Jacket in Black is the women's version of Rukka's compact cold-weather insulating layer. It is designed for touring, commuting and off-bike use, then packs into the supplied small storage bag when conditions become warmer.

Women's down mid-layer

The 100% polyester shell uses Rukka's continuous woven channel construction. By forming the down channels without conventional stitched baffles, the design reduces cold spots and helps retain warmth. The women's jacket has 100 g of insulation made from 90% certified down and 10% feather.

Motorcycle use and protection

The DownRide-R Lady is an insulating motorcycle mid-layer rather than a CE-certified protective riding jacket. It is not supplied with impact armour and should be worn with suitable certified motorcycle outerwear when riding. Rukka does not specify a waterproof membrane or waterproof rating for this jacket, so use a suitable weatherproof outer shell in rain.

Moto Central lists this Black jacket in UK women's sizes 8 to 22 (Rukka EU 34 to 48). The equivalent Rukka EU sizes are shown below. When choosing a mid-layer, allow enough room for the down to loft without restricting movement beneath your riding jacket.

Care instructions

• Gentle wash at 30°C maximum, separately and inside out
• Use liquid detergent and do not use fabric softener or bleach
• Tumble dry inside out at a low temperature
• Do not dry clean
• Iron at a low temperature, 110°C maximum
