This gloss black colourway uses a fibreglass shell and a 180-degree reversible chin bar, giving riders a practical choice between full-face and open-face configurations for urban riding, commuting and road use.

The RO5 Boxer Alpha carries P/J dual approval, so it is certified to the ECE 22.06 standard in both configurations. ROOF's FlexLocker system secures the chin bar in the raised position, while the two red side locks are operated sequentially to release or close it. Fully equipped weight starts from approximately 1,650 g.

ROOF helmet size guide

Measure around the widest part of your head, approximately 2 cm above the eyebrows, above the ears and around the back of the skull. The helmet should feel evenly snug without painful pressure points and should not move independently when you turn or shake your head.

Questions and answers

Can it be ridden with the chin bar raised?
Yes. Its ECE 22.06 P/J approval covers both full-face and open-face configurations, and the FlexLocker system secures the chin bar in the open position.

Does it accept an intercom?
Yes. ROOF provides removable foam sections for the speakers, battery and microphone of a compatible universal intercom. The intercom is not included.

Does it include a Pinlock insert?
No. ROOF specifies an anti-fog-treated visor for this model but does not list a Pinlock insert among the supplied equipment.
