The Sofia represents a substantial update to Oxford's Original Approved denim range. Its Armourlite® denim has high stretch characteristics for comfort, while jersey protector pockets provide a softer feel against the body. A curved rear yoke creates a shaped fit and knee darts help the legs sit naturally. The double belt-loop detail is designed to hold different belt widths securely.

Lower-impact denim finishing

Oxford uses laser wash detailing and a more sustainable finishing process for the Sofia range. According to Oxford, the process avoids potassium permanganate, removes several washing and rinsing cycles and uses less water than the conventional method used to create a vintage wash effect. Washing only when needed will also help extend the life of the garment.

Are these slim-fit or straight-fit motorcycle jeans?

This is Oxford's Sofia Slim model, with a high-rise, close-fitting cut. The Sofia Straight is a separate model.

Is knee and hip armour included?

Yes. Level 2 Dynamic 2.0 protectors are included for both the knees and hips. The height of the knee armour can be adjusted to suit the rider.

Are the Sofia jeans waterproof?

Oxford does not specify a waterproof membrane or waterproof construction for this model. They are breathable protective riding jeans rather than waterproof textile trousers.

What does single-layer Armourlite® mean?

The abrasion-resistant fibres are incorporated into the stretch denim itself, so the jeans do not need a separate full abrasion lining. This helps reduce bulk while retaining CE AA protection.
