Helstons Pace Air Mesh Textile Jacket Blue
The Helstons Pace Air in Blue is a lightweight, ventilated mesh textile motorcycle jacket designed for warm-weather riding. Breathable panels across the front, sleeves and back promote airflow, while its straight cut and 1990s racing-inspired details give it a distinctive vintage sports look.
Who is the Helstons Pace Air for?
This jacket is aimed at riders who want maximum ventilation for warmer days without giving up motorcycle-specific protection and useful storage. A separate rain jacket is supplied for changing conditions, making the Pace Air more adaptable than an unlined mesh shell while keeping its main focus firmly on summer comfort.

Protection and certification
The Pace Air is supplied with removable protectors at the shoulders, elbows and back. Helstons lists a Pace Air conformity document in its current technical-document index, and the authorised UK distributor describes the product as CE approved. However, the available document could not be read reliably enough to verify a current garment class, protector level or expiry date. This description therefore does not assign an unsupported EN 17092 class or protection level.
Ventilation and weather guidance
Large mesh areas allow air to pass through the main jacket, so the Pace Air is best suited to warm and dry riding conditions. The main mesh shell is not waterproof. A separate rain jacket is included for unexpected showers, but Helstons does not publish a waterproof rating for it. For sustained heavy rain, a dedicated rated waterproof layer remains the safer choice.

Product questions
Is the Pace Air a summer motorcycle jacket?
Yes. Its lightweight textile construction and large mesh panels are intended to improve airflow during warm-weather riding.
Is the main jacket waterproof?
No. The main shell is deliberately ventilated and should not be treated as waterproof. Helstons supplies a separate rain jacket for showers, although no waterproof rating is published.
Does the jacket include a back protector?
Yes. Removable shoulder, elbow and back protectors are included.
Is there a thermal lining?
No thermal lining is specified for this model. The additional supplied layer is an independent rain jacket, not a padded winter liner.
Mesh textile care
Remove the protectors before cleaning. Helstons advises cleaning mesh fabric on a short cold wool-type machine cycle, or gently wiping it with a clean, damp, non-abrasive cloth. Keep it away from alcohol, oils, creams, polish, direct heat and prolonged sunlight. Do not tumble dry or iron, and always follow the sewn care label if it gives more specific instructions.
Moto Central fitting advice
Try the Pace Air with the base layers you normally wear in summer. Check that the cuff and waist adjustments are secure, then adopt a riding position to make sure the protectors stay centred and the sleeves do not pull excessively. Moto Central can help with sizing and protector positioning in the showroom.
