Product questions

Is the Chevy Air waterproof?

It has a rain-protection membrane, but the outer leather is perforated for airflow. Helstons and its UK distributor do not describe the jacket as waterproof, so use separate waterproof over-gear for sustained or heavy rain.

Is this the same as the standard Chevy jacket?

No. This Chevy Air version uses perforated buffalo leather and a fixed mesh lining for warmer conditions. The standard non-perforated Chevy is a separate product.

Does it include a back protector?

Yes. Removable protectors for the shoulders, elbows and back are supplied.

Leather care and fitting

Use products intended for motorcycle leather and test any cleaner or conditioner on an inconspicuous area first. Do not machine wash, tumble dry or place the jacket next to direct heat.
